Treasury Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for reconciling the company’s hedge positions. Assist Treasury with obtaining financing on buyout loans and cash reconciliation.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Reconcile daily cash movements related to the company’s hedge positions.
    • Perform daily valuations of hedge trades and calculate daily expected margin movement.
    • Coordinate with our hedge partners to send or receive collateral.
    • Prepare daily reporting for senior management and Accounting.
    • Track netting effectiveness in aggregate and at the counterparty level.
  • Assist in the financing of repurchase and buyout loans.
    • Update and manage database tracking loans funded.
    • Coordinate with Servicing, Mortgage Acquisitions, and Warehouse to fund loan populations.
    • Communicate with Accounting and Servicing teams on cash movements.
    • Talk with external counterparties on fundings and cash movement.
  • Support Treasury Manager with the daily liquidity management and forecasting.
    • Perform daily reconciliation of actual cash activity against forecasted activity.
    • Reconcile daily cash variances with the various business segments to explain drivers.
    • Assist with updating and monitoring the daily cash position and forecast.
  • Ensure compliance with and assist in the development of policies and procedures.
  • Perform ad-hoc requests as needed.
  • Ability to effectively and accurately convey information to others.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration or other related course of study or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years of Operational role in any of the following groups – Originations, Accounting, Treasury or Capital Markets (or related) experience.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels within organization as well as external contacts.
  • Superior documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities as appropriate, while maintaining attention to detail, in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Problem-solving ability and strong analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and deadline oriented is a must.
  • Effectively communicate across functional working departments.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Working on-site at assigned office location.
  • Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership.
  • Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or as business needs demand.
  • Working in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations.
  • Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time.
  • Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls.
  • Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures.
