The Treasury Accountant is responsible for managing and monitoring the organization’s cash flow, liquidity, and financial risk to ensure optimal use of funds. This role involves overseeing banking relationships, preparing cash forecasts, reconciling treasury transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The Treasury Accountant works closely with finance and accounting teams to support strategic decision-making and maintain accurate treasury records.
What you’ll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:
Data Integration
Collaborate with finance teams, including Fintech, TM1, Business Units, and Product, to ensure all postings are accurate and up to date.
Proactively resolve queries by coordinating with the Reconciliation Team, Finance, and Product stakeholders.
Processing
Upload daily bank statements and post them into the ERP system.
Process bank receipts and allocate them to the correct vendor accounts and cash flow codes.
Post and match payment processor vendor settlements accurately.
Monitor and initiate withdrawals and funding for online wallet accounts.
Monitor and fund negative balances within processing accounts.
Monitor and fund progressive pools and clearing house accounts.
Monitor and initiate foreign exchange trades to maintain sufficient currency balances for supplier payment requirements.
Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow reports.
Reconcile control accounts, including cash in transit, processor settlements, wallet withdrawals, and suspense accounts.
Ensure intercompany postings for supplier, customer, and loan accounts are accurate and complete.
Perform monthly bank account reconciliations.
Review all vendor open items, escalate discrepancies, and provide feedback to the Team Lead.
Provide a comprehensive monthly analysis of treasury costs, including foreign exchange gains and losses and other related expenses.
Audit
Prepare all banking-related information required for audits.
Complete all bank-related FloQast reconciliations and ensure compliance with SOX controls.
Ensure settlement transactions are accurately recorded and maintained.
Key Deliverables
Review open item reports for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare bank account reconciliations and FloQast schedules.
Ensure all bank postings are current and accurate.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual commentary on FloQast and related reports.

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table

Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations
BComm finance degree or similar
Minimum of 2 years accounting/ treasury experience
Solid understanding of banking practices, financial regulations and corporate finance
Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:
Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Navision or Business Central
Experience in FloQast
Experience in IBM Planning Analytics/TM1/Cognos
Experience in managing and mentoring a high performing team
