We are seeking a highly analytical, inquisitive, and data-focused Quantitative Risk Analyst to join the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team in Bangalore. This position is suited for an individual capable of transforming complex operational, financial, and technical risk data into actionable insights, reliable predictions, and clearly articulated reports to inform executive leadership decisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing Key Risk Indicator (KRI) program, elevating executive-level ERM reporting, and constructing predictive models to enable BitGo to proactively manage emerging risks.

You’ll work closely with Security, Compliance, Product, Engineering, Finance, and other cross‑functional partners. This is a high‑visibility role with real impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, maintain, and automate enterprise risk metrics (e.g., KRIs, dashboard reporting) across operational, financial, regulatory, and technology domains.
  • Build automated dashboards and monitoring frameworks (Looker, Tableau, Python scripts).
  • Produce monthly and quarterly ERM reporting for executives and Board committees, including heat maps, trend analyses, and control effectiveness insights.
  • Quantify qualitative risk ratings (e.g., converting Low/Medium/High/Critical into measurable, comparable metrics).
  • Develop statistical and simulation-based models (e.g., forecasting, scenario analysis, Monte Carlo, Bayesian methods).
  • Create structured scoring and weighting methodologies to prioritize risks across domains.
  • Identify correlations between KRIs, incidents, qualitative assessments, and external intelligence.
  • Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis for emerging/high‑impact risks.
  • Support risk assessments, RCSAs, issue management, and risk treatment tracking.
  • Collaborate with Security, Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to understand data flows and strengthen risk monitoring.
  • Use lightweight analytical scripting (Python preferred) to automate data pulls, normalization, and model refreshes.
  • Develop reproducible analytic workflows and maintain model documentation.
  • Support creation of risk dashboards with BI and engineering partners.
  • Perform thematic deep dives on key risk topics (e.g., validator risk, slashing exposures, custody infrastructure risk, cloud outages, regulatory developments).
  • Contribute to audit, regulatory, and Board inquiries related to risk metrics and methodologies.

Required:

  • 2–5 years of experience in quantitative analytics, risk modeling, or data science.
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Comfort using Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau) for analytical tasks.
  • Strong foundation in statistics, model development, and data-driven decisioning.
  • Experience analyzing complex datasets, building predictive models, and evaluating strategy performance.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate insights clearly.

Preferred:

  • Experience in financial services, underwriting analytics, operational risk, or portfolio strategy.
  • Familiarity with credit risk, loss forecasting, or policyholder modeling.
  • Exposure to XAI models, production model monitoring, or workflow automation.
  • Understanding of crypto, fintech, or emerging tech risk domains.
