Job Description
Scope of Position The Transplant Office provides care to liver, kidney, heart, lung and pancreas transplant patients from the time of their transplant through their lifetime. This position is responsible for the clinical follow-up of a subset of these patients. Position Summary This position functions to assist with coordination of all aspects of Transplant endocrinology follow-up. Will act as liaison between transplant physicians, Endocrinologist, Transplant coordinators, pharmacies and laboratories. Will provide patient education as indicated. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient?s status and decide on the appropriate form of action. Must be able to provide care as described in the Post Transplant policy and procedure manual.

Required Qualifications
Graduate from an approved school of nursing. Current RN Ohio License.. prior transplant experience preferred, Current Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator certification or willingness to become certified, Flexible, sensitive and adaptable to transplant activities.
