We are currently looking for a Toolroom Planner to plan Tool Work Requests; liaise with requestors, ensure toolroom and moonshine have the drawings, materials and tools required, manage priorities and elevate urgent requests.

This is a full-time permanent position based 100% onsite in Port Melbourne.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and coordinating Boeing Production System projects in various process areas across the site.  Supporting implementation of Lean initiatives, Employee engagement ideas and rate readiness projects
  • Support the toolroom and moonshine areas in the procurement of spares parts and materials to support repairs to emergent issues and delivery of longer-term projects.
  • Support the activities for the process area associated with:
    • Boeing Production System (BPS)
    • Safety
    • Continuous Improvement
    • Corrective Action
    • Productivity Rate Improvements
  • Ensuring the Shipside Action Tracker (SAT) database is being monitored, updated and functioning throughout the shift
  • Support toolroom and moonshine TRAC’s work orders by monitoring and updating as required.
  • Support Engineering teams with the storage and disposal of redundant tooling.
  • Work with Cross Functional Teams to Support implementation of Lean initiatives, Employee engagement ideas and rate readiness projects and emergent repair work.
  • Lead and work with subcontractors to support moonshine activities
  • Develop and maintain timelines for longer term projects.
  • Implementing process performance enhancements.
  • Participate in BPS Transformations within the process area and interfacing with functional disciplines, external customers and suppliers
  • Lead Risk Issue Opportunities (RIO) for future state activities
  • Leads and coordinates others in the use of project management tools to negotiate scope, analyse risk, establish schedules and manage assigned projects
  • Interface with other Manufacturing Support Analysts in the consistent implementation of moonshine and toolroom tasks
  • Coordinate prioritisation of competing activities between stakeholders

Basic Qualification’s (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Strong understanding of TRAC’s operating system and Tooling procedures.
  • Experience in cross functional collaboration, leading and influencing others to solve problems and supporting the production team
  • Experience developing strategic plans and metrics using BPS / Lean methodologies and other BAA applicable tools and processes
  • Experience in leading, coaching, supporting staff and driving change in a large and complex organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to ensure program deliverables are achieved
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to manage conflict and negotiate
  • Ability to lead a team's safety culture, setting high expectations and leading via the behaviors and values
  • Applicants must have full, unrestricted working rights for Australia
     

Additional Information:

This is a non-Enterprise Agreement position IJC 8AAFI3. Remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience.  The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 3-month probationary period.
