Major Duties:

  • You will assist in assessing and documenting risk by severity and probability level of potential mishaps for hazards across all system modes using defined industry standards to obtain acceptance of risk by program management.
  • You will collaborate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and assist in solving discrepancies related to weapon systems safety program requirements.
  • You will assist in providing scientific or technical advice or support to others to advance the system safety teams understanding.
  • You will assess and document risk by severity and probability level of potential mishaps for hazards across all system modes using defined industry standards to obtain acceptance of risk by program management

Qualifications: In addition to the basic education requirements below: For the NT-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and developing technical engineering procedures to provide technical solutions to weapon systems problems affecting the safety of operations in alignment with program requirements. For the NT-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing work involving analyzing, testing, or modifying to resolve discrepancies related to system safety program requirements.
