Job Description:
GDIT is looking for a Project Manager to guide project management of both the customer systems’ planned transitions and implementations while incorporating identified product vendor’s recommended solutions.
This is a hybrid-work opportunity with the selected candidate expected to report on-site at our Arlington, VA facility at least 2 days a week. Additional on-site support may be required based on customer direction.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
Develop a strategy and management plan to coordinate with the Government to fortify future requirements of transitioning solutions into operational use from within a Software Defined Network and a Development Security Operations environment.
Execute the strategy and plan upon Government approval.
Maintain the Project Portfolio within the Project Management tool.
Adjust project management methods to service top priorities and critical tasks of the year, rapidity of change, fluidity of prioritization, and constant influx of projects. The contractor shall adjust methods to non-standard nature of the environment.
Collaborate with all stakeholders to establish requirements and consider alternatives that promote effectiveness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Utilize the Government’s Project Management tool to manage and track all project artifacts and reporting. Each project shall be updated, at a minimum, once per week.
Provide weekly status reports using the Integrated Project Server tool.
Deliver preliminary project plans for every project assigned by the Government within timelines specified by the customer Project Management Process for small, medium, and large projects and associated BCA, if applicable. Preliminary project plans shall include a notional design, scope document, and a preliminary budget.
Maintain all resources that work on projects within Project Management tool for resource loading into schedules.
Provide resource utilization reports from Project Management tool to assist with project prioritization.
Conduct Project Kick-Off Meetings, coordinate, and host all other necessary meetings, across all the customer agency key stakeholder Centers, to properly communicate and socialize the project intent and plan.
Coordinate activities and resources across the entire project, ensuring all Centers are properly informed, accountable, and responsible for their tasks.
Use commercial best practices when developing schedules.
Identify and manage project risks and issues, communicate potential impacts to the critical path and the overall schedule.
Develop and maintain a Risk Register within the Project Management tool.
Develop risk mitigation plans and escalation processes for risks that cannot be mitigated.
Manage changes to the test and production environments, hardware, and software in accordance with their Change Management Process.
Manage Customers and Users expectations of releases and rollouts.
Monitor projects for progress and resource consumption and report variances to Government task lead.
Expedite progress when required and initiate corrective action, if necessary.
Provide a summary of all projects, in all phases, as requested by the customer, the leadership, stakeholders, or for ad-hoc purposes.
Using ITIL framework, will develop and submit transition plans for approved systems to move to Service Operations.
Use an Agile approach for developing evolving requirements.
Perform project management status reviews to include project schedule, risk, and issues status.
Manage and coordinate all project activities across projects, associated boards, vendors, and teams as well as oversee schedules and resources.
Brief leadership and customers on the status of projects throughout all project phases.
Provide resource utilization reports within the Project Management tool to assist with management of the Project Portfolio and determination of resource availability for prioritization of new projects.
Provide documentation for Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and transition of projects to Service Operations.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED (Required)

Security Clearance Level: Active Secret clearance.
Certification: PMP.
Education: Bachelor's Degree. An additional 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Year's Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of Software Engineering and System Development Life Cycle.
Understanding of Agile methodology.
Experience working in an ITIL environment.
Experience managing system engineering projects.
Experience using project management tools such as MS-Project.
Experience using DevSecOps tools.

The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
