Purpose of Role:

Kickstart your engineering career with our dynamic two-year rotational program in Research, Development, and Design—where you’ll drive innovation with our Technology team to design and develop industry leading solutions for pumps, valves, and hydro-cyclones— propelling our company’s growth and industry leadership.

Your homebase will be Salt Lake City. During the program you will also spend approximately 3 months at an international location (To be determined).

Engineering Graduate Program – Four High‑Impact Rotations:

Join our dynamic two-year rotational program in Research, Development and Design, where you’ll learn from and collaborate with industry-leading experts.

Field Success Engineering

Apply your engineering skills in live slurry circuits (pumps, valves, cyclones) to boost performance and feed real field data back into product design.

Project Management Office (PMO)

Master the full project lifecycle—phase gates, planning, and delivery—using industry‑standard tools on meaningful engineering initiatives.

Service Engineering & Product Management

Partner with customers and product leaders to turn real‑world needs into product roadmaps, sharpening both your technical and commercial edge.

Design Engineering & Test Centre/Lab

Run experiments and prototype evaluations, connecting test results directly to design improvements and new product development.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Must be a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Mechanical or Mechatronics.
  • Completion of the FE exam within the two-year Weir Employment - Graduate Program is required, along with eligibility to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure within six years of employment with Weir.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to travel internationally, including a three-month assignment at a location to be determined.
