Your Role  

  

Gensler’s Phoenix Office is seeking a Designer specializing in corporate workplace interiors to join our team of design thinkers and doers. You will collaborate with our Design Directors to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. You will be successful because you already know how to translate sketches and documents into realized 2D/3D models and images and can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise. What You Will Do  

  • Participate in all workplace focused project phases, including programming client needs, conceptual design, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. 

  • Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives   

  • Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, millwork design, accessories, and lighting. 

  • Participates in the construction administration of projects - including review of submittals and finish samples  

  

Your Qualifications  

  • 5+ years of experience as an interior designer 

  • Must be highly proficient in Revit 

  • Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field from an accredited program  

  • Workplace interior experience required. 

  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly 

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)  

  • Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials 

  • Rendering and visual communication skills are highly valued  

  • NCIDQ preferred but not required; working toward licensure is supported and encouraged
