About the Role

We are seeking a talented Technical Product Manager to lead our AI Labs team, a fast-paced, innovative function focused on developing the next generation of retail AI solutions. You will work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI research and practical retail applications, translating complex technical capabilities into market-ready products that solve real customer problems.

This role reports directly to the GM and will be instrumental in defining the product vision, strategy, and execution for experimental AI use cases including analytics platforms, personalization engines, and AI safety tools. You'll collaborate closely with our engineering teams, client design partners and cross-functional stakeholders to rapidly prototype and validate new AI-driven solutions.

What You Will Do

Product Management & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end product development from development to deployment for experimental AI use cases, defining timelines, and proactively managing risks.
  • Translate broad strategic objectives into clearly defined product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications in fast-paced, agile environments
  • Manage 2-3 project pods, guiding them across use cases, go-to-market, and technical components.
  • Oversee AI model evaluation and testing, ensuring solutions meet quality, safety, and performance standards.
  • Establish success metrics and KPIs for experimental products, tracking both technical performance and business impact.
  • Translate pod objectives into clear engineering tasks and maintain rigorous documentation for an auditable development process.
  • Ensure delivery stays on schedule and uphold excellent internal processes.
  • Navigate and execute amidst high ambiguity with minimal structure and requirements.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

  • Work directly with engineering teams to define technical architecture and implementation approaches.
  • Drive technical alignment across incubation components and dependencies with the broader Stylitics Strata Platform.
  • Assess technical implications of product architecture decisions and optimization trade-offs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with retail design partners.
  • Create compelling product demos, documentation, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Translate customer needs and product ideas into compelling, hands-on prototypes that effectively demonstrate value.
  • Focus on creating an intuitive and high-quality user experience in all demos and proofs-of-concept.
  • Read (and occasionally write) Java/React code to assure systems align with product definitions.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum 8+ years of overall professional experience, including 4–6 years in technical product management, ideally focused on AI/ML products or developer tools.
  • Strong technical background with understanding of machine learning, AI systems, and software architecture.
  • Proven experience shipping AI/ML products from 0-to-1
  • Coding proficiency (React, Java, SQL preferred) with ability to review code and engage in technical discussions.
  • Experience with data-intensive products and understanding of data pipelines, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Operational excellence: rigorous, organized, process-minded with strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Confident communication (written and oral) skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across all organizational levels.
  • Track record of working effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high willingness to iterate and fail fast.
  • Experience gathering customer feedback, running beta tests, and translating user insights into product requirements.
  • Proven experience building and managing multi-workstream timelines (Jira/Notion), including dependency mapping, critical path analysis, and risk/mitigation planning.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • High-growth startup experience.
  • Background in retail/brand/consumer, e-commerce, or fashion technology
  • Familiarity with QA agents/LLM evaluation, prompt templates, and unit-economics metrics.
  • Knowledge of AI safety, ethics, and responsible AI practices.
  • Previous experience in incubation/R&D environments or experimental product development.
