Role Overview

As a Technical Presales Consultant, you will be the technical expert for IBM’s Data & AI and Automation portfolio. You will support partners and internal teams throughout the sales cycle, from solution design to technical validation, ensuring successful adoption of IBM technologies such as Hashicorp, Webmethods, Watson AI, and Cloud Pak for Business Automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise: Act as a trusted advisor for IBM Data & AI and Automation solutions.

• Solution Design: Support partners in designing architectures for data platforms, AI-driven applications, and automation workflows.

• Presales Engagement: Deliver product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical workshops tailored to customer needs.

• Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams to develop proposals, respond to RFPs, and ensure technical feasibility.

• Enablement: Host and support training and enablement sessions for partners to strengthen their IBM solution capabilities.

• Innovation: Stay up-to-date with IBM technologies, certifications, and emerging trends in AI, automation, and hybrid cloud.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in data platforms, AI technologies, and automation solutions.

• Experience with IBM Software products is preferred but not required.

• Knowledge of hybrid cloud, containerization (OpenShift), and integration tools is a plus.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and business audiences.

• Fluent in German and English.
