Summary:

Drive the processes, work deliverables to NPI and NPI enabler projects from EARC Pune in field of Mechanical Integrity.

Responsibilities:

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for state-of-the-art methods and tools and ensure continuous development in the field of structural mechanics and fatigue analysis domain.
  • Set up FE models, ensure validation and documentation according to project requirements adhering to MTU quality standards.
  • Challenge our solutions, methods, and people in order to get the best results.
  • Drive Virtual Validation processes and collaborate with Engineering Colleagues to optimize the Verification and Validation Chain.
  • Provide guidelines and consultation to support the engineering teams and NPI and business unit projects.
  • Support the team by sharing the expertise and creating standard operating procedures that capture the new process, future trends and technologies.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality, time & delivery schedule of work/task.
  • Manage communication with stakeholders to explain the results and interpretation of Finite element calculations.
  • Look actively for opportunities to enhance your experience and network within structural mechanics community as well as research associations and universities.

Qualifications:

M.E/ M.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) with 8–10 years of experience in structural mechanics and fatigue analysis domain.

 Preferred requirements:

  • Should have excellent understanding in the field of Structural Mechanics, Material Science and Finite Element Methods.
  • Should be an expert in performing Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis.
  • Should have excellent knowledge of Thermo Mechanical Fatigue and Vibrations.
  • Candidates with experience in using ANSA, META, Abaqus and FEMFAT.
  • Should have good experience in handling large assemblies with complex interactions.
  • Should be able to deliver own projects as an individual contributor.
  • Should be able to work in cross functional teams.
  • Candidates with engine domain knowledge will have added advantage.   
  • Adeptly handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and be willing to adjust as per business requirements.
