Job Description:

As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the automation industry. This role will enable you to lead a team and work with customers while integrating some of the most state-of-the-art robotics & technology available. The innovative solutions we work on offer diverse experiences that will strengthen your skills and challenge your abilities. This is an in-person role at our Greenville and Liberty location.
 

Location Type: The position is onsite in Greenville and Liberty, SC.

What You’ll Do
 

  • Supervise controls engineers and other staff.
  • Assist engineers to identify areas for technical and career development.
  • Partner with manager to develop engineering department through leadership, training, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage several on-going projects concurrently, including staffing, workload issues, and meeting project timelines.
  • Design controls equipment to meet customer requirements.
  • Responsible for leading cross-functional technical teams throughout the lifecycle of various projects.
  • Assists with the successful management of assigned programs as they relate to cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, related field, or equivalent experience, calculated as two (2) years of relevant work experience for each year of academic study OR an associate’s degree with 2+ years of related experience.
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • 2+ years leading technical projects

Skills You’ll Have

  • Knowledge to lead others and positively influence engineer's development and progression.
  • Breadth and depth of experience with automation products, services, and the industry.
  • Ability to identify systemic issues to improve department efficiency.

Other Details

  • Travel up to 25% to customer sites & other JR locations.
  • Current or prior JR Automation, or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred.
  • Present to colleagues and company management.
  • Lead teams and influence project direction and progress.
  • Serve as a technical expert and leader in the department.
