Technical Business Systems Analysis - Advisor I

About your role:

In this Technical Systems Business Analysis role, you will translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements that guide delivery teams. You will collaborate with product owners, technology teams, and business stakeholders to design future state processes and solutions that support critical payment and merchant services. Your work will help ensure that our systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned to strategic business priorities.

What you’ll do:

  • Analyze business needs, perform gap analysis, and identify impacts and opportunities for process and system improvement.
  • Develop and document future state business architecture, business process flows, and system process flows across complex platforms.
  • Lead requirement elicitation sessions with internal stakeholders, external partners, and information technology teams to capture business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Interpret and analyze functional and non functional requirements using written, visual, and verbal information, applying logical and mathematical concepts where needed.
  • Create, manage, and maintain business requirements documentation aligned to each phase of the software development lifecycle.
  • Use tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, Clarity, and Microsoft Office to organize, track, and communicate requirements and status.
  • Support testing cycles by reviewing test scenarios and outcomes to confirm that delivered functionality aligns with documented business requirements.
  • Lead knowledge sharing and training sessions to communicate requirements, process changes, and system impacts to information technology teams, product owners, and stakeholders.

Experience you’ll need to have:

  • 6+ years of experience in technical business analysis or systems analysis supporting complex, large scale technology or payment related projects.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business, functional, and technical requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, Clarity, and Microsoft Office, or similar tools, to manage requirements and project information.
  • Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication, including the ability to tailor information to technical and non technical audiences and facilitate working sessions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
  • 1+ years of Fiserv systems experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience with merchant acquiring, payment processing, or other financial services domains.
  • Experience supporting strategically important business processes, products, or programs in a large enterprise environment.
  • Experience with business process modeling techniques and frameworks.

How you’ll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.

Salary Range

$100,000.00 - $165,600.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
