We have the following job available in the Thrift Department:

JOB TITLE:                      Team Leader Company Thrift Store

BASE RATE/HOUR:      $28.42

POSITION PURPOSE:

Direct the Company Store to achieve sales targets by implementing diverse sales strategies. Consistently enhance productivity through value-added operational efficiencies, including customer service initiatives, effective merchandising, inventory management, and precise execution at the store level.

RESPONSIBILITIES/WORK ACTIVITIES:

Build the Business

Profitable Sales Volume

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of daily, monthly, and annual store objectives for productivity and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Support the store team in achieving Pepperidge Farm's established net sales, average sales, and bakery sales KPI targets.

• Engage in customer count enhancement efforts, including Customer Appreciation Events and community-sponsored activities.

• Demonstrate and uphold the Customer Service Process, ensuring all store employees actively participate in this process.

o Collaborate with the Operations, Quality, and Finance teams to assess the management of waste, on-hold, and related products on a weekly basis.

Operational Excellence

• Responsible for total store operations including daily monitoring of financial results, productivity, cash handling, administration, inventory, merchandising, pricing, maintenance, customer service, store safety and promotional activities.

• Maintain the merchandising strategy for all Pepperidge Farm products that ensures proper handling, placement and inventory levels.

Build the Organization

Leadership

• Recruiting and hiring of store team

• Develop and sustain strong, positive relationships with the store team.

• Train store team on all store operating procedures including store opening/closing, customer service, cash handling, register operation and merchandising, pricing and inventory control

• Monitor store payroll activities for store to ensure that both federal regulations (scheduling and time cards) and company policies and procedures are being followed

• Conduct regularly scheduled meetings to improve operational expertise

• Frequently communicate with Regional Manager to discuss problem stores and develop action plan for improving performance

Personal Development

• Build store employee's capabilities for advancement opportunities. Ensure collaboration across the organization to ensure delivery of results

• Provide store team with regular input on performance; coach and provide recommendations to each team member on areas for improvement (including specific training). Coach team on Key Performance Indicators and goals in order to accomplish objectives

BACKGROUND AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to demonstrate creativity, organizational skills and action oriented

• Read, write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Analytical Mindset

Receive a frozen or dry delivery once a week. Rotating product.

Pushing/Pulling: distance as follows:

Bread: stacked 10 high – max. 200 lbs., 30-40 ft. to push/pull, approx. 5-8 times/day

Biscuit: max. 20-50 lbs. – 30-40 ft. to push/pull, 15-25 times/day

Frozen: max. 20-30 lbs. – 30-40 ft. to push/pull, 5 times/day

Misc. Products: max. 100 lbs. – 30-40 ft. to push/pull, 5-8 times/day

Body Motions:

Frequent bending, reaching and squatting

Occasional kneeling, climbing and balancing

Environment: 95% indoors and 5% outdoors

15% exposure to cold (if location has freezer)
