YETI is built on delivering best in class products—and that standard extends to our packaging. We’re looking for a Packaging Production Designer based in Southeast Asia to support artwork updates, regulatory changes, global localization, and production ready mechanicals across our full packaging lineup.
This role is highly collaborative, working closely with our internal Creative team, Packaging Engineers, Regional teams, and external packaging suppliers to ensure every package that hits the shelf meets YETI’s bar for quality, accuracy, and brand experience.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging Artwork Updates & Production Execution
Update existing packaging artwork (labels, cartons, sleeves, CP/MP boxes, inserts) with accuracy and brand consistency.
Build and deliver print ready mechanicals that meet YETI’s standards for precision and craftsmanship.
Maintain clear file naming, version control, and documentation across all packaging SKUs.
Compliance, Regulatory, and Risk Based Updates
Implement legally required and compliance driven changes including safety language, product information, warning labels, and certifications.
Partner with YETI Product Safety & Compliance team and Global Packaging Engineer to ensure artwork aligns with requirements for regional markets such as Japan, China, Korea, EU, and others.
Localization & Translation Management
Integrate translations accurately into artwork files—including formatting, text expansion, and character validation.
Build and revise overlabels (Japan+, regional addons, localization stickers).
Coordination With Key Partners
External Packaging Suppliers
Work directly with packaging vendors across Asia to clarify artwork specs, resolve file questions, and support print production.
Review supplier-provided print proof files and color proofs when required.
Internal Creative Team
Ensure artwork updates follow YETI brand standards, typography systems, color guidelines, and layout principles.
Collaborate closely with Creative to align on design changes, packaging refreshes, and new layout requirements.
Packaging Engineering
Align artwork updates with dielines, structure changes, material shifts, and new product configurations.
Partner with engineers to ensure artwork fits as intended during testing, sampling, and production.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Greater than 5 years of experience in packaging production artwork, graphic design, or related executional roles.
Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, with strong working skills in Photoshop and InDesign.
Solid understanding of print production, dielines, color systems, and common packaging materials.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple updates at once while staying organized and prioritizing accordingly.
Preferred
Experience supporting global consumer brands or premium goods.
Familiarity with multilingual artwork, regulatory requirements, and localization best practices.
Experience working directly with Asia based packaging suppliers and manufacturers.
