As a Team Lead Product Engineering Commercial Pharma International Targeting, Recommendation, Optimization and Measurement (Engineering Manager) you will focus on capabilities development of your team members that align with the function’s vision. Description of the area
As a technologist and engineering leader, this position defines the architectural roadmap and technical execution for a portfolio of products enabling best-in-class customer engagement and measurement strategies and execution. This role partners closely with the Pharma Commercial business product owners across the Roche International affiliates that support key business commercial functions of measurement (e.g., segmenting HCPs, dynamic lists, geospatial analysis etc.), recommendation (e.g., Next Best Action), optimization (e.g., measurable ROI, “what-if” simulations etc.) and Measurement (e.g., Attribution modeling, operational health etc.). You are responsible for the selection, design, and integration of cutting-edge technologies to deliver scalable, resilient digital solutions that transform strategic intent into business impact.
The Opportunity:
Drive Architectural Excellence: You will be responsible for the architectural integrity and selection of digital technologies that power enterprise-level customer engagement.
Execute Strategic Roadmaps: You will translate Business Product Owner (BPO) roadmaps into high-fidelity technical execution plans, ensuring long-term scalability.
Drive Technology Leadership in the AI and Digital space to be embedded within the solutions and products
Lead Delivery Performance: You will take accountability for the overall delivery and successful shipment of features across the product portfolio.
Develop Future Capabilities: You will proactively identify and develop future-focused engineering team capabilities that align with long-term strategic goals.
Cultivate Team Health: You will establish and monitor metrics for team sustainability, ensuring a balanced, high-performing, and psychologically safe environment.
Foster Collaboration: You will resolve complex, cross-functional impediments and manage relationships with senior-level stakeholders to align delivery priorities.
Optimize Performance: You will define success metrics and lead process re-engineering efforts to create step-change improvements across development teams.
Manage Resources Strategically: You will oversee the team's budget, including headcount and vendor contracts, while optimizing resource allocation for portfolio-level goals.
You will have the opportunity to work with an extensive and modern tech stack that includes the AWS suite, Data & Analytics backbone (such as DataBricks, dbt, Kafka, and SnowFlake), AI/ML stack (Python, MLflow, Kubeflow etc.). You will be expected to have working knowledge of these technologies, to lead and build engineering teams with credibility.
Who you are:
Experienced Leader: You possess 5+ years of experience in people leadership or product/service management with a proven track record of building high-performing teams.
Industry Professional: You have 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated healthcare technology industry.
Formally Qualified: You hold a Bachelor or advanced degree with a specific focus on Business or Information Technology.
Technical Expert: You demonstrate a deep understanding of software development methodologies, solution architecture, and information process design.
Agile Visionary: You exhibit a lean and agile mindset, with the ability to create clarity regarding team outcomes and navigate complex ambiguity.
Servant Leader: You embody VACC (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach) behaviors, empowering individuals to act autonomously while maintaining accountability.
Strategic Thinker: You possess an enterprise mindset, breaking down silos through collaboration and maintaining a keen focus on major IT market trends.

Salary range 19,000 - 35,400 PLN gross based on the employment contract.
