What Tax contributes to Cardinal Health

Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial planning, and control environment of the organization, ensuring accurate reporting, strong governance, and protection of Cardinal Health’s assets. Finance supports decision‑making by maintaining robust financial systems, processes, and internal controls, and by providing reliable financial information to the business.

Tax plays a critical role in enabling compliant and sustainable business operations by designing, implementing, and defending tax positions across domestic and international activities. In Brazil, Tax ensures end‑to‑end compliance across indirect taxes, statutory reporting, while owning key interfaces with operational partners and financial close processes. This position can also be in contact with direct taxes and transfer pricing.

Tax actively monitors legislative and regulatory developments — including Brazilian Tax Reform — assessing impacts on pricing, supply chain, systems, contracts, and business strategy, and proactively advising leadership on required adaptations and risk mitigation. Acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, Tax supports complex operational and commercial decisions, oversees external providers, supports audits and regulatory inquiries, and helps drive profitable growth while managing tax risk and compliance.
