JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Talent Strategies – Academic Affairs, the Talent Operations Coordinator provides operational and administrative support for the Talent Strategies and Operations teams within the Talent & Inclusion Division.

This role focuses on process improvements related to Workday and assists with delivering university-wide projects and key initiatives requiring extensive engagement with WPI constituents, including faculty and staff. This position requires an enthusiastic approach to creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity, equity, and belonging.

This position may be filled at either the Talent Operations Coordinator or Senior Talent Operations Coordinator level based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

  • Manage processing of worker data in Workday by entering and reviewing transactions for accuracy including talent, compensation, benefits, absence, time tracking, and recruiting
  • Act as secondary point of contact between the department/division and other internal and external technical support organizations
  • Assist and support system testing and project implementation
  • Maintain documentation including creation and updating of job aids related to office procedures, Workday data entry, and form creation
  • Act as a primary contact for employees with HR needs, answer and triage inquiries, and provide accurate information with a customer service focus; escalate issues to appropriate channels
  • Conduct thorough introductory reviews and exit interviews for Talent Strategies
  • Support the administration of the institution's orientation and onboarding functions and programs by working with the area responsible for coordination of orientation to ensure smooth, customer-focused service
  • Partner with Talent Operations Specialist to coordinate and execute student employment processes within Talent & Inclusion
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience

Salary Grade 6: $55,400 – $67,900 per year (depending on experience)

Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
