Job Description:
The Director, Human Resources Business Partner is a member of the Asia Regional HRBP team, accountable for driving organization effectiveness forward through strong business partnering for the assigned functional portfolio as well as playing a key role in the development and execution of HR practice/projects in the Asia Regional Office, including driving the talent culture and strategy, all spectrum of HR services including end-to-end workforce planning, recruiting and onboarding process, talent management, employee engagement and HR policies and processes. This role will work in close collaboration with other Regional Office and Business Unit HRBPs and CoEs to deliver the People strategy and Asia’s ambitious growth plan.

- As the regional Human Resources business partner, contribute to the design and drive the implementation of all spectrum of HR programs including but not limited to workforce planning, talent development, capabilities building, rewards management, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management and all people-related agenda.
- Act as an ambassador of the Sun Life brand in all interactions with internal and external partners; collect and analyse people trends and market intelligence to refine our employer value proposition and drive / embed SunLife’s BOLDER behaviours.
- Work closely with HR Centers of Expertise to ensure smooth implementation of HR initiatives.
- Make use of data to provide functional leaders insights on people issues, act as the advisor to leaders and provide guidance which are in line with SL’s standards and code of conduct expectations.
- Be on the pulse with the happenings within multiple, diverse teams in Asia and proactively support leaders to mitigate people risks.
Preferred skills (heading) / Compétences particulières (titre)
- Solid experience in HR business partnering with a good understanding on HR Policies and Processes in Hong Kong and preferably in Asia
- Well-versed with Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and relevant legislations; exposure in other Asia markets highly preferable
- Experience in data collection, analyses, implementation of policies / programs / practices to drive employment engagement and productivity
Qualifications (heading) / Compétences (titre)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Communications, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR business partnering, organizational design, people analytic.
- In-depth understanding of dashboards, HR metrics, and data-driven insights. Conversant with Workday is a plus
- Able to work multi-tasking independently, leverage digital tools and an agile mindset
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Strong passion to drive results, naturally curious and have a passion for delivering high impact people agendas
- Proactive, innovative and highly self-motivated with a can-do attitude
