The role

A Talent Acquisition Specialist acts as a strategic consultant and a bridge between a company's hiring needs and the talent pool. In this role, you will report into the TA Lead and join the global operations TA team, to support our North America hiring. You will: 

  • Act as a full-life cycle recruiter driving end-to-end talent acquisition across a number of critical Google DeepMind teams in North America. You will be responsible for independently hiring a diverse range of non-technical and technical roles, including Technical/Program Managers, People & Culture Partners, Administrative Business Partners and Workplace Innovations and Experience Managers.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, operating as a trusted talent advisor.
  • Leverage data to influence hiring strategies and decisions. This includes identifying opportunities for improvement (such as redefining interview questions, reducing process inefficiencies, iterating assigned rubrics and attributes) and developing solutions that enable internal stakeholders to seamlessly engage with hiring and our processes.
  • Provide an exceptional experience to all candidates, role modelling Google DeepMind’s values both internally and externally.
  • Ensure hiring processes are fair and inclusive, utilising talent insights and sourcing strategies to ensure pipelines are representative.
  • Develop and maintain talent acquisition strategies tailored to the North American market.
  • Utilize AI tools to streamline recruitment workflows and improve candidate experience.

About you

To set you up for success in Talent Acquisition at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:

  • Experience independently recruiting a range of technical and non-technical roles within an in-house recruitment team. 
  • Managing a high volume of openings with exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully recognize and advocate for talent from non-traditional backgrounds.
  • Experience sourcing, engaging with, and successfully closing candidates.
  • Experience designing, developing and running creative hiring strategies to fill niche and complex openings
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate across different timezones, contributing to an inclusive and supportive team culture.

In addition, the following would be an advantage: 

  • Demonstrated success operating in unstructured and ambiguous environments.
  • Experience developing new recruitment processes and workflows.
  • Experience working in global organisations, ideally within technology.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $105000 - $161000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
