As part of the Sustainable Finance team, you have a focus on deal execution in renewable projects in The Netherlands like solar, wind, geothermal, heat networks, biogas and battery energy storage. Besides deal execution you also provide important knowledge and market intelligence serving as input for the further development of the sustainable finance proposition of ING Business Banking. Your work location is Amsterdam (office Acanthus).

Your key responsibilities

• You will be part of the Sustainable Finance team of Business Banking, which is a central team based in Amsterdam consisting of 10 professionals in the field of sustainable (project) finance solutions.
• You work together with the team on the origination, execution and portfolio management of Sustainable Project Finance deals.
• You write credit proposals, credit reviews, greenlight memo’s and perform due diligence on project documents.
• You use own- or third-party financial models to prepare or review financial projections and sensitivities analysis.
• You prepare pitches and indicative term sheets for new Sustainable Project Finance opportunities.

• You maintain data quality, including populating internal databases and keeping track of market developments.
• You support the team in preparing internal & external profiling to put ING's sustainable business initiatives on the map for clients, employees, and other stakeholders.
• You are an enthusiastic ambassador for the Orange Behaviors.       

How to be successful

• You are client focused and love to engage with our clients to further strengthen their sustainability profile and drive Sustainable Finance business.
• You have at least 3 years of experience in a client-facing role, ideally in project finance, but if not, then experience across advisory and/or consulting and banking.
• You are a quick learner with an adaptable mindset.
• You have a working knowledge of corporate banking products.
• You have a high level of lending and credit risk knowledge, including strong financial modelling skills.
• You have a passion for sustainable projects and technologies, but also love to deep dive into project contracts. 
• You have a strong drive and curiosity to understand new sustainable business models.
• You can effectively multi-task and thrive well in a dynamic environment.
• You are committed and dedicated team player, with strong presentation and communication skills.
• You speak fluently Dutch as our clients are mainly Dutch speaking organizations.
