Who we are looking for

We are looking for Assistant Vice President (AVP) Support Strategy and Delivery who will support Corp Audit (CA) leadership by developing, implementing and executing a technology support strategy to enhance management and stakeholders’ ability to effectively execute Internal Audit function.

In this role you will lead the building of robust capabilities to support and sustain the execution of audit applications.  The incumbent will have the following experience:

  • Operational Excellence – Delivering, measuring and reporting a high-quality end-user experience through a well-defined support operating model and service level agreements (SLA) for audit management system and end user developed tools.

  • Partnerships and Collaboration – Driving clarity and efficiencies by working with business product owners, technology custodians, vendors and end-users to develop and implement key audit capabilities, with a focus on ensuring post-implementation support.

  • Business As Usual Support – Supporting the global user base through incident intake, problem management, first- and second-level support for audit management and analytics solutions. Ability to analyze data and tell the story through data visualization

  • Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

The outcome of this role will establish operational systems resiliency, application support practice, enable leadership teams to make data informed decisions related to operational execution of Audit Lifecycle activities.

What you will be responsible for:

As AVP Support Strategy and Delivery, you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing operating model with clear R&R with various take holders; Streamline Management Reporting of KPIs and OKRs; and devising process to keep a pulse check on Support related Auditor Satisfaction Index.

  • Designing, Implementing and maintaining a robust service delivery model, which aligns with enterprise SDLC and Support standards, for the suite of applications used by Corp Audit teams.

  • Partnering with Product Owner, GTS and Vendor in designing and implementing tools and process to meet the support needs of audit teams. Planning the upgrades, and seamless roll out of functional capabilities.

  • Developing SME on the functional and non-functional operations of the supported applications to provide Initial Triage and First/Second Line Business support.

  • Providing incident and problem management lights-on support of CA Audit mgmt. system including M7 and their integration with CA process and enterprise applications.

  • Providing Single Point for application issues and escalation within Corp Audit including time sensitive quarter end activities.

  • Streamlining support process and tasks through use of tools and technology.

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Strong experience in delivering Client focused support services to a relevant business function in financial industry - Preferably Internal Audit function.

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize understanding of user problem, business processes into value added feedback and delivery of support services.

  • Technical experience in automation and working knowledge of Audit Management System (M7); data management tech stack like ETL, Visualization, Data Lake/DBs, RPA and Service Desk tools like ServiceNow. – Highly Desirable.

  • A high degree of professionalism with proven history of providing effective leadership to diverse teams and influencing stakeholders to collaborate towards a common goal.

  • The ability to manage complexity, effectively prioritize multiple tasks and work independently with a balanced approach to decision making. Ability to balance creativity with pragmatism, concepts with practical applications, agility with control.

  • Excellent data analytical, problem resolving, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills.

  • Fluency in English - written and spoken.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years working with large financial institution in delivering application support service to a business function.

  • Strong Data Analytics skills – ability to create a story from analyzing data for executive reporting.

  • Bachelor’s degree - STEM desired.

  • Relevant work experience in Internal Audit functions at a financial services company or comparable experience as a Support Services advisor for a business function in financial services company preferred.

  • Working experience in the application or reporting development experience with exposure to analytics and visualization tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Power BI.

  • Exposure to Power Apps and Power Automate is desired.

Additional requirements

While majority of the time you will work from your primary location, some domestic and international travel may be required to a variety of locations where State Street operates.
