Job Description:

Assist in leading and providing guidance of other Supply Chain Technician positions in the daily distribution of supplies and assigned projects. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Performs all essential job duties related to Tech I and Tech II role.

  • Audit scanning performance for POU's scanned.

  • Assign, organize and manage case cart, crash carts, procedural carts and trays as needed on a daily basis.

  • Lead special projects assigned by Supply Chain or clinical leadership.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Leadership to ensure adequate supplies are maintained in the POU's.

  • Investigates and solves inventory discrepancies reported by Tech II.

  • Supports inventory control analysts with special projects assigned by supply chain leadership.

  • Audit clean supply rooms for proper signage, dividers, overstock and other TJC regulations. 

  • Reassign Supply Chain Techs to additional duties as needed.

  • Supports completion of quarterly audits with focus on expiration dates and Joint Commission related tasks.

  • Performs audits for supply chain managed areas to ensure adherence to OU Health expiration policy.

  • Assist leadership in daily shift responsibilities for completion of all work.

  • Ability to lead Tier I huddles and review weekly metrics.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Associate's degree required.
     

Experience Requirements

  • At least 5 years' experience in Healthcare or Inventory Management.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

  • None required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requirements

  • Typing, use of computers, computer software, and the ability to learn software applications necessary in the performance of typical work.

  • Proficiency in utilizing the MMIS.

  • Knowledge of general office equipment such a fax machines, copy machines, box cutters and printers.

  • Ability to work in a busy, high-pressure environment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders to include coworkers, management, and clinical partners.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in English, both written and verbal, including active listening.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in customer service and problem solving.

  • Ability to operate pallet jacks.

  • Day to day duties include bending, pulling, pushing and lifting up to 40-50 lbs.

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.

  • Ability to cover multiple areas at any time.
