Your mission
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In line with the strategy of the Operations BU and the International BU and affiliate, the Local Operations Director is responsible for Service Level & Performance of Operations in the country.
The Local Operations Director will ensure harmonized and efficient processes and organization, close constructive collaboration with intern & external partners, develop the Operations vision with the objective of creating value and efficiency.
The Local Operations Director reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager Americas, Wellington ROCHA, and reports functionally to the Country Managing Director, Danielle BIBAS.
The Operations Department covers the Customer Service, the Demand and Supply -S&OP, the Physical Distribution Management for Brazil and it´s Export Operations from Areal to the Americas.
Globally
- Define, challenge, and control the KPIs -key performance indicators- in terms of Quality, Leadtimes, Costs, HSE -Health Safety Environment- and Ethics, internally and with external Partners
- Lead Operations: HR, KPIs, projects, including the monthly formalization of key figures, facts, and analysis through formal report
- Drive and improve the S&OE and S&OP rituals
- Ensure the communication to management, staff, and stakeholders within the Subsidiary
- Lead the relationship with 3PLs/Hauliers from daily operations to contract negotiation and tenders
- Ensures the alignment between Pierre Fabre’s Operations operating procedures and KPIs with our Retailer’s requirements and our business strategy
- Supervise and manage the Operation team, ensuring backup organization
- Ensure the continuous update of the SOP – Standard Operating Procedures
Customer Service
- Ensure the Service Level to satisfy the different channels/categories of Customers based on strong relation with Business teams
Demand
- Develop and manage S&OP process in collaboration with General Management, Marketing/Sales, Finance (and QRVI if the case) Departments to ensure alignment/action plan around major KPIs and Rolling Forecasts (RFO for Operations and RFF for Finance)
Supply
- Ensure collaboration with Planning & CSC- ICS (former Order to Delivey)
- Manage inbound shipments and maintain an efficient import procedure, including Customs clearance process (relationship with customs broker and local authorities)
Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR)
- Works closely with KAM (Key Accounts Management) and Commercial Team to ensure full alignment between Pierre Fabre’s operating procedures, SLAs and KPIs with our Retailers expectations and our business strategy. Drive the regular meetings with key retailers to build strong relationship with their supply teams.
Distribution
- Steer the performance of the distribution (through the appropriate management of the 3PL -Third Part Logistics and Haulier and steering of the flow with commercial teams) to guarantee the Service Level required and optimizing the costs and investments (Distribution includes Warehousing, Transport, Local manufacturing such as KSL -Kitting, Sticking, Labelling
- Manage the daily relationship with our logistics partners: organize and lead monthly or quarterly review meetings with 3PL(s) and Hauliers if needed
Project and Finance Management
- Get the vision and optimize processes through projects and continuous improvement for Operations and with internal/external partners
- Lead lean cost saving initiatives to reduce Operations expenditures, participating to CAPEX and OPEX optimization
- During logistics crisis (accident in 3PL global strike, cyber-attack, pandemia, …etc.), organize and lead a transversal crisis unit for Operations
KEY COMPETENCES
- Education background and experience
- University or Business school with Master’s degree in supply management or equivalent in Engineering with an additional training in logistics and/or APICS advance certification. IT-oriented
- 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain activities (Customer Services, S&OP - Demand and Supply Management and Physical Distribution Management) is required and 5 years’ experience as Operations Manager
- Project management experience (including IT), with excellent planning and organizational skills would be a great asset

- Ability to analyze different situations, synthetic and rigorous approach of concepts and tasks to be done; and then to make decision, arbitrates with a sense of urgency, and is accountable for the transversal consequences
- Well organized, proactive, and flexible
- Team player, good level of interaction with people, developing a constructive feedback culture
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills including ability to influence and motivate internal and external customers and providers
- Master of computer tools (such as Excel, Word) as well as an ERP is highly appreciated.

- Fluent in Portuguese and English is a must
- French would be an extra asset.
