The Supply Chain Associate role will support the Buffalo Supply Chain team in various tasks, from Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing, to Production Planning, and Customer Support. The person in this role will seek to analyze and promote/support improvements to the supply chain processes overall. The role will receive guidance from the Supply Chain Manager in Buffalo and assigned to tasks as needed. The role is an opportunity to develop well-rounded capabilities in the supply chain field. The person will also participate in efforts to ensure proper adherence to the precious metal policies and implementation of potential enhancements.

  • Learn and perform transactional tasks in various areas of the supply chain group, depending on the business need: enter inquiries/quotes/sales orders, create and release production orders, perform shipping and receiving of materials, consumables, customer materials. Ensure full compliance to the internal policies and proper handling of the precious metals transiting the facility. Collaborate on daily basis with the pillars of the Supply Chain team and other departments in the plant to drive a positive customer experience.
  • Facilitate increased visibility into the traceability of the precious metal shipments by monitoring the tracker systems (monitoring PM Sharepoint updates daily; escalate when needed with Cargo Signal/EM team).
  • Monitor and analyze freight spend and address potential inaccuracies (review and resolution for TranzAct Freight for EM, confirm freight terms and bill responsibility, generate report on freight spend by facility and review accuracy). Review and run ACE/AES reports that cannot be automated. Act as the local ShipEP subject matter expert by troubleshooting and partnering with IT to solve issues.
  • Support efforts to maintain and/or create master data elements pertaining to Supply Chain and work with the master data corporate team members.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Associate’s degree, preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in a supply chain function


 

Pay Range:

$25.38 - $38.08

Actual base salary offered varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
