Supply Chain Analyst (Material Planner)

Arden - North Carolina - USA Full time

BASIC FUNCTION:

In this role, you will coordinate with our production planning and customer service teams to optimize inventory and support plant operations. You will develop and execute our supply plan and releases, determining priorities and implementing strategies to reduce out-of-stock and excess stock issues. You will also help support our production schedule, taking into consideration the forecasted demand for finished items and our raw material needs.

ESSENTIAL Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a long-term supply schedule/plan, taking into consideration the needs forecasted by our production planning team
  • Resolve material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions
  • Request recovery plan if suppliers fall behind schedule and meet with suppliers to ensure plan is successfully implemented
  • Use root cause analysis methods to help develop and implement workable solutions to support on time deliveries to support production requirements
  • Advise suppliers of proper shipping methods to meet delivery deadlines
  • Utilize SAP tools to execute supplier schedules and monitor delivery for 100% on-time delivery
  • Daily interaction and communication with other functional areas purchasing, supplier quality, production scheduling, and customer service.
  • Track inventory of raw materials and optimize materials to avoid excess inventory levels
  • Create and develop reports to analyze the health of supply base and develop strategies to continuously improve KPI’s
  • Understand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Communicate and enforce safe work procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Send EDI release to suppliers after maintenance and updates
  • Execution of exception messaging
  • Run and manage inbound supplier delivery report
  • Review and tracking inbound/outbound shipments
  • Daily communication to vendors on delivery ETA’s and critical needs
  • Level supplier schedules and split loads for high volume parts
  • Manual schedules to suppliers/warehouses where necessary
  • Review and mitigate risk to plan on production demand increases/decreases
  • Update supplier delivery dates in SAP as necessary
  • Manage supplier shipping portals
  • Manage various material requirements reports upon request
  • Communication of missing components to support production and notify of potential impacts
  • Mange material run out/impact reports for suppliers and internal teams
  • Update/maintain in transit sheets and tracking of material ETA’s
  • Supplier backlog tracking/communication
  • Supplier OTD reporting
  • Raw inventory forecasting
  • Tariff reporting and support
  • Support internal team with the engineering change management process
  • Support New Product Launch Team
  • Material master data maintenance
  • Setup expedited freight for critical supplier materials when necessary
  • Manage consignment consumptions reports for suppliers/accounting
  • Provide packing slips and paperwork for receiving needs when necessary
  • SAP Scheduling agreement setting updates and maintenance
  • Provide quality support on current vendor issues and sort/holds

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • This position requires an associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures regarding planning and scheduling.
  • A certain degree of creativity, experience and judgment is required to plan and accomplish goals
  • Ability to perform a variety of complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Must have working knowledge and MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point).
  • Must have working knowledge of MR/ERP systems and planning tools
  • Possess ability to communicate verbally and maintain concise and accurate written documentation.
  • Effective listening skills are required.
  • SAP experience strongly preferred
  • Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.

Salary Range:

$70,400 - $96,800
