Job Description

Fulfil is hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to join us at a fast-paced startup in a multi-disciplinary environment supporting our contract manufacturing network and supplier ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for driving supplier quality execution, issue resolution, deviation management, and implementation control across suppliers and Fulfil build sites.

The SQE plays a key role in preventing quality escapes, supporting manufacturing readiness, and ensuring changes and corrective actions are properly implemented across the supply base.

In This Role You Will

  • Own and manage the end-to-end NCR process, including initiation, supplier communication, containment verification, and closure tracking
  • Lead and validate 8D problem-solving activities, ensuring effective root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
  • Drive supplier accountability through structured follow-up, data review, and escalation when needed
  • Triage and manage incoming quality issues from Fulfil sites, ensuring timely containment and resolution
  • Support incoming inspection and on-site quality checks for parts, subassemblies, and systems arriving at Fulfil facilities
  • Maintain deviation tracking systems and support proper documentation, approvals, and implementation visibility
  • Support ECO implementation at suppliers by verifying deployment, execution, and revision control
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, NPI, Supply Chain, Build, and Operations teams to ensure alignment across supplier activities
  • Participate in supplier audits, manufacturing readiness reviews, and process validation activities
  • Maintain and improve quality trackers, dashboards, workflows, and documentation to support scaling operations
  • Identify recurring issues and systemic risks across suppliers and proactively drive preventive actions
  • Support supplier quality activities at contract manufacturers and Fulfil sites as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Process Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Hands-on experience with NCR management, 8D methodology, and root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and supplier quality systems
  • Familiarity with quality systems and standards (ISO 9001 or similar)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open issues in parallel
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving processes and priorities
  • Proficiency with Excel, reporting tools, and quality documentation systems
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to supplier sites and Fulfil facilities

What We’d Love to See

  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience
  • Experience supporting NPI builds and manufacturing process validation
  • Experience with complex electromechanical assemblies or automation systems
  • Familiarity with PLM/QMS systems such as Arena
  • A passion for automation and continuous improvement
  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and make an impact

The salary range for this position is $85,000 – $135,000 plus stock and benefits. Pay within the range is based on candidate experience and relevant skills.
