Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end product development projects from concept ideation through commercialization, applying a structured stage-gate methodology to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives. Own progression through each gate by coordinating deliverables, reviews, and approvals.
Drive cross-functional team efficiency and alignment by planning, organizing, and facilitating regular project meetings with engineering, industrial design, marketing, sourcing, quality, and operations. Develop clear agendas, define objectives, assign action items, and ensure timely follow-up to keep teams focused and accountable.
Document and communicate project status and decisions by maintaining up-to-date project plans, timelines, risk registers, and meeting documentation. Capture key decisions, trade-offs, and next steps to provide transparency and support informed decision-making across stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define project scope, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements. Align engineering feasibility, design intent, marketing needs, and operational readiness to ensure products are delivered on time and launch-ready.
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks related to cost, schedule, technical feasibility, supply chain, and quality. Drive issue resolution through data-driven problem-solving and escalate critical risks or decisions when appropriate to maintain project momentum.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources by tracking progress against plans, forecasting impacts, and adjusting priorities as needed. Ensure development efforts remain aligned with business objectives and financial targets.
Support continuous improvement of development processes and tools by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, improve cross-functional collaboration, and enhance project visibility. Contribute to refinement of stage-gate practices, documentation standards, and project management best practices.
Qualifications
PMP Certification is preferred
3+ years of experience managing product development projects, preferably in consumer goods.
Strong understanding of the stage gate process and product lifecycle management.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience working in cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, and supply chain.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements for consumer products.
