Job Summary: You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the INFORMATION TECH SVCS DEPARTMENT, COMMON IT SERVICES DIVISION of COMMANDER SINGAPORE AREA COORDINATOR. Major Duties:
Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience developing and implementing Information Technology (IT) policies and procedures for management of IT services, cost, or resources to ensure IT compliance and maintain effectiveness and efficiency of IT programs, systems, platforms, or networks (e.g. ONE NET Enterprise, Public Safety, Enterprise Land Mobile Radio, Quality of Life, or Base Operating Support) for an organization. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Designing, developing, and managing systems (e.g. Public Safety Network (PSNet)) that meet current and future business requirements and applies and extends, enhances, or optimizes the existing architecture. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Serving as the Contracting Officer Representative and overseeing contract work to determine if it meets the standards of adequacy required for authorization of payment to include performing a wide range of technical input and oversight tasks; analyzing benefits and costs on whether or not to contract work. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Communicating complex technical requirements to non-technical personnel, prepare and present briefings to senior management officials on complex issues. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Conducting studies to provide information for Regional IT decision-making and business case analysis.
