Job Summary: You will serve as a SUPERVISORY CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD FAR EAST. ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.***

Major Duties:

  • You will be responsible for staffing, budgeting and program management of the Commands Acquisition products and services.
  • You will determine appropriate contractual vehicles and collaborates with the Operations Officer and Buisness Line Leaders to successfully meet their needs.
  • You will determine resources needed to accomplish projected workload and allocate resources to various subordinate units and monitors its effective use.
  • You will develop directives, instructions and guidelines which establish internal policies and procedures concerning execution and administration for providing guidance to field contracting personnel.
  • You will exercise senior supervisory personnel management responsibilities.

Qualifications: In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing overall management of the pre-award and post-award contracting functions relating to the planning, development, advertisement, award, and administration of contracts for Facility Support Services, Architect-Engineer (A-E), construction and environmental services.
