The position of Supervisor Warehouse Operations within our Molecular Diagnostics Business Unit located in Itasca, Illinois. 

The Supervisor Warehouse Operations is responsible for all activities associated with the shipment of all reagents, instruments, commodities, supplies to customers and affiliates globally. This role will oversee all warehouse personnel, direct operations and follow up on all transactions, to ensure departmental, divisional, quality and regulatory compliance. This includes but is not limited to compliance with GMP, CAPA, FDA, DOT and IATA regulations, productivity improvements, safety standards and training/development.

What You’ll Work On

  • Oversee compliance with all Department of Transportation, International Air Transport Authority shipping regulations as well as adherence to Division, Corporate standards and FDA regulations for distribution, storage and handling of products.
  • Responsible for staffing and planning resources which include writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approval for changes, and coordinating with HR.
  • Develop direct reports by securing appropriate training modules, assigning progressively challenging tasks, and applying appropriate disciplinary action written and verbal.
  • Monitors daily work operations at warehouse to achieve departmental goals while maintaining compliance.
  • Interacts with internal and external customers by meeting regularly, responding to requests and explaining procedures.
  • Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains personnel records (i.e., vacations, work schedules, leaves of absence, etc.) and makes modifications accordingly to ensure daily goals are met.
  • Oversee the implementation of cost reductions and safety improvements.

Required Qualifications

  •  High School Diploma, and/or GED.
  • Three to five years in a leadership role in a medical device manufacturing operations warehouse or supply chain environment. 

Preferred

  • Proven warehouse and materials management experience in life sciences, biotech or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Dangerous Goods Training Power Truck Training
  • Logistics training - Domestic and International Safety Training

The base pay for this position is

$60,000.00 – $120,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
