Supervises plant engineering and maintenance services to develop and assure economic and uninterrupted continuity of manufacturing operations and assists management in planning and effecting efficient utilization of all facilities.

C. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain and repair production equipment to ensure continuous quality production
2. Maintain and repair facilities to keep the entire building in good working condition
3. Apply safety and good housekeeping programs for an accident free workplace
4. Perform inventory and parts control to provide a good parts supply line for all departments
5. Perform department cost control to stay within budgetary allotments
6. Manage all outside contractor service for the continuation of plant operations without major downtime
7. Support the food and product safety systems in the plant
8. All other duties as assigned
D. DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
Minimum six (6) years related experience
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Mechanical, electrical and facility operating systems knowledge
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
Ability to read facility and mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics
E. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum ten (10) years experience in the engineering field or equivalent experience in the maintenance industry, with experience managing projects and supervising people
F. SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Works under the general direction of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer or Manager, Plant Repair & Equipment
