Salary Range: $143913 - $197200 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the AMPHIBIOUS ASSAULT & CONNECTORS PROGRAM OFFICE of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE SHIPS.

Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the Program Lead for new construction Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) and in-service Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) programs.
  • You will coordinate with other functional Program Managers to manage all aspects including programmatic, technical, and financial components.
  • You will develop and coordinate all Program documentation to support Milestone review processes.
  • You will utilize schedules and evaluate actual/projected progress to direct/redirect resources so that projects proceed in an orderly, cost effective, and timely manner.
  • You will represent leadership in meetings with contractors and provide direction relative to business decisions required to ensure proper control of each contract.
  • You will develop and coordinate all Congressional briefs, reports to Congress, and responses to and decisions related to the projects.
  • You will provide information and expert advice to respond to Congressional, DOD, other Government agencies, and media or industry inquiries, and audits to support Congressional testimony.
  • You will apply innovative approaches to resolve complex acquisition problems involving shipbuilding and ship systems design, integration and production concepts, contract, budgeting, funding constraints, progress, invoicing, and payment methods.
  • You will review, prepare, and present responses to all source shipbuilding program audits conducted by the Navy and other agencies.
  • You will monitor contractual and legal problems during acquisition, design and construction of ships and associated material and services.
  • You will provide interface with Business/Financial Management staff.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (equivalent to the GS-13 grade level) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing or directing the implementation of acquisition plans (e.g. resource requirements, logistics support, funds distribution, expenditures for projects), developing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and overseeing contract execution.
