Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the Deputy Director for Cybersecurity, a key leadership position exercising delegated managerial and technical authority for the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) enterprise-wide cybersecurity program.
  • You will be responsible responsible for directing the entire cybersecurity enterprise through a subordinate workforce of high-level supervisors and managers, who in turn lead large, multi-disciplined teams of technical experts.
  • You will exercise exercises the full range of delegated managerial authorities to direct a complex, high-risk, high-visibility technical program of national importance.
  • You will oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of the NAVWAR cybersecurity program, which is managed through subordinate high-level managers and supervisors.
  • You will direct, coordinate, and oversee work through subordinate high-level supervisors and managers. Exercise final authority for the full range of personnel actions and organization design proposals recommended by subordinate managers.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band DP-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: management experience in information assurance or cybersecurity; working in an enclave-level system architecture (which includes multiple networks under centralized security policies); Proficiency in IA policies, procedures, and workforce structure, with the ability to apply them to secure complex systems; and CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or other recognized management-level cybersecurity credentials.
