In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.
Assistants are an important role during SDI. Assistants will:
Support students, faculty, and staff with the overall flow during SDI.
Help with Student checking -in and take daily class attendance before each day.
Assist with setting up studios for artist talks and any virtual sessions that will take place during the program.
Will serve as rehearsal support for guest choreographers and artists in residence during SDI.
Complete various administrative duties and tasks.
Accompany students on weekend outings and special programmed events.
Help to support guests and current faculty during classes.
Maintain an injury log for injured students.
Physical Therapy monitoring and Appointment Set-up.
Help organize and set-up bulletin boards with important announcements and information distribution.
Assist with daily mail distribution.
SDI student and information liaison
Organize and facilitate students during SDI final performance showcase.
Digital media support and copying duties.
Available to support student events during SDI
All applicants must be great with engaging students, organized, and punctual. Familiarity with google suites programing would be an added benefit.
Expected Hours Per Week: 25-30
Expected dates and times of shifts: Assistants are asked to be available Monday-Saturday July 20th -Aug 7th Shift slots may vary depending on availability classes will run 8am-6pm.
