  • Full-time, Fixed-Term and casual positions

  • Salary teacher level T3.1 to T5 + 17% Superannuation

  • Based at the Melbourne CBD or Bundoora campuses however, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University

We are looking for current or aspiring VE Electrical Teachers who have relevant industry and vocational teaching qualifications, or who are working towards a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, Cert III and IV in Electrical, and an A-grade Licence.

About the role  

As a VE Teacher at RMIT, you will be mainly responsible for delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising students enrolled in selected courses in the schools. 

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills, and in the use of flexible teaching methods. 

  • Skills and experience in competency-based assessment and ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed. 

  • Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position. 

  • The capacity to diagnose learning problems in students and propose and implement effective solutions. 

Qualifications

  • Relevant Qualifications - Certificate 4 Training & Assessment (enrolled or finished) as a minimum

  • Certificate III and IV in Electrical

  • A-Grade Licence (Must)
