Futureforce Product Design Program Management Intern

Job Description

At Salesforce, our UX (User Experience) teams aspire to make products that people love. Products that make a salesperson’s day more productive, a marketer’s campaign more impactful, and a retailer’s website more beautiful. Behind our great products are an amazing team of UX designers and engineers, and working hand-in-hand with those teams is a talented group of professionals that helps make it all happen: Salesforce UX Operations!

The Salesforce UX Operations team is looking for a self-starting, organized Design Program Manager Intern to help drive product delivery and operationalize design activities across our various UX teams. We are seeking a passionate relationship builder who is excited about empowering a UX team to deliver quality work in a sustainable and healthy way.

Responsibilities

How will you do this? As a Design Program Manager Intern for UX Operations:

  • You’ll be an advocate for the UX team and partner with UX practitioners to scale the operations of the UX organization.
  • You’ll help foster the growth of UX skills within the org through organized education and training efforts.
  • You’ll help with regular communications up, down, and out to assure alignment and clarity of goals.
  • You’ll help drive the UX org’s participation in and preparation for Salesforce events by organizing conference speakers, panels, sponsors, and presentations.
  • You’ll prioritize team health and help facilitate a regular cadence of community and culture building activities to celebrate the team and bring them together.
  • You’ll help codify processes, scale best practices, and make it easier to do great UX work.
  • Finally (and most importantly), you’ll be a member of our Salesforce UX Operations team, an important role that requires confidence, motivation, optimism, and grace.

Requirements

  • Working towards a Master’s degree (M.Des) currently. Graduating Batch of 2026
  • Outstanding partnership, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills; the ability to collaborate well in a cross-functional environment, and work across multiple teams and disciplines.
  • Superb communication skills that shine across multiple mediums; the talent to advocate and gain followership for a project or program that speaks to different audiences at whichever level is appropriate.
  • A proactive problem solver with experience running projects from idea to implementation.
  • Ability to learn internal project management and communication tools to ensure UX work is properly represented and tracked.

Desired Experience and Skills

  • An interest in working with design teams and a basic familiarity with how design gets done (practices, language, methodologies, etc.).
  • An interest in or familiarity with what it takes to ship software at scale and running projects
  • An internal compass that points towards ethics and equality, and the conviction to speak up if we stray off-course.
  • Ability to break down and solve for ambiguous tasks.
  • A desire to be your authentic self in the workplace.
  • A sense of curiosity and a service-minded attitude.
  • Some familiarity with running events and programs for internal audiences, external customers, or both at the same time!
  • If you know how to design stuff, draft a research plan, or can code, we’re all for it!
