United States European Command (USEUCOM) requires a Subsea and Seabed Warfare (SSW) Planner that is responsible for developing and coordinating operational plans and strategies to protect critical undersea infrastructure and counter adversary capabilities in the subsea domain. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of undersea warfare, including threats to undersea cables, pipelines, and other critical infrastructure, as well as the technologies and tactics used in both offensive and defensive SSW operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and staff comprehensive concepts of operations (CONOPS) for the defense of critical subsea infrastructure.

  • Analyze adversary capabilities and tactics in the undersea domain and develop countermeasures.

  • Coordinate with U.S. Navy and Allied partners to integrate SSW plans and operations.

  • Assess the vulnerability of friendly subsea infrastructure and recommend protective measures.

  • Plan and support exercises and wargames to test and validate SSW plans and capabilities.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on SSW to senior leaders and decision-makers.

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in undersea warfare and assess their impact on SSW.

You Have: 

  • 10+ years of experience in military operations, with a focus on undersea warfare or anti-submarine warfare (ASW)

  • Experience with the Joint Planning Process

  • Knowledge of the threats to and vulnerabilities of critical subsea infrastructure

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with Special Access Programs (SAP) or Sensitive Technical Operations (STO)

  • Experience as a submarine officer, naval aviator, or naval special warfare

  • Experience with unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV)

  • Experience working in a joint or combined military environment

  • Knowledge of international maritime law and policy

  • Master's degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
