Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Product Manager to lead the development and management of our intruder alarm and smart home product portfolio. This role is responsible for driving new product introductions, ensuring compliance of existing products, resolving technical issues, and delivering accurate forecasting to support business growth.

Key Skills

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in the security or intruder alarm industry (or related technical field).
  • Strong understanding of product compliance standards and certification processes.
  • Excellent analytical and forecasting skills.
  • Technical aptitude with ability to understand complex product systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and product lifecycle management tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • New Product Testing, and field-testing plans
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of new products from concept to launch.
  • Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to define product specifications and market requirements.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and trends.
  • Product Compliance
  • Ensure all products meet relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., EN50131, PD6662).
  • Maintain documentation for certifications and liaise with testing bodies and compliance authorities.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and update product compliance accordingly.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical issues related to the product range.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams and customers on product functionality and troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with engineering to resolve product defects and implement improvements.
  • Forecasting & Planning
  • Develop accurate product forecasts to support manufacturing and supply chain planning.
  • Monitor sales trends and adjust forecasts based on market demand and product performance.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on product performance and pipeline.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with marketing to develop product positioning, pricing strategies, and promotional materials.
  • Support sales teams with technical training and product knowledge.
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure timely product availability and delivery.
