Student Worker - Pita Jungle Cashier/Food Service Worker (FWS/NFWS) Mornings/Afternoon/Night (8am-2pm) (10am-4pm)(6pm-1030pm)

Purpose within the Organization: 

The purpose of this position is to assist Pita Jungle , by working as a Cashier/Food Service Worker. 

 

Responsibilities Related to Purpose: 

  • Provides attentive and responsive customer service. 

  • May include operating a cash register and following all cash handling procedures as required. 

  • Will be responsible for serving customers on the line. 

  • Maintains required stock of products and may participate in ordering, inventory, and stocking activities. 

  • Cleans and sanitizes workstations other equipment. 

  • Complies with all HACCP policies and procedures. 

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.        
                               
     

Equipment Used and Responsibility: 

  • Registers (Adhere by all cash handling responsibilities) 

  • Standard Kitchen Equipment-Slicers, Dicers, Ovens, etc.)-Responsible for making sure proper protection equipment is worn when necessary 

  • Knives (Adhere by safety policy for using and cleaning knives) 

 

Qualifications:   

  • Willingness to be open to learning and growing. 

  • Maintains a positive attitude. 

  • Must be able to work weekday mornings, evenings, and weekends. 

  • Must have a Maricopa County Food Handler’s Card and non-slip shoes. 

  • Prior customer service and/or food service experience is a plus​. 

 

Experience/Education: 

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. 
Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment: 

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.  

  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student. 

  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University. 
     

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.  

 

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
