Centre for Foundational Studies – Associate Lecturer

Are you a dynamic and passionate individual? We invite you to join RP as an Associate Lecturer in the Centre for Foundational Studies. In this pivotal role, you'll have the chance to inspire and guide RP students through our Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) and General Modules, shaping their educational journey and preparing them for future success.

[What you will be working on]

  • Facilitate active student learning.

  • Deliver effective lessons through good class management, ensuring positive learning outcomes.

  • Perform grading and assessment. 

  • Cultivate a nurturing environment and guide students in their educational journey.

  • Collaborate with the module team by providing support in covering classes when needed.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in two or more of the following domains:

- Critical Thinking

- Communication

- Education and Career Guidance 

- Innovation and Design Thinking  

- Life Skills 

- National Education

- Physical Education

- Programming (e.g., Python) and Web Design

  • Passionate about education, with a keen interest in teaching and developing self-directed learners among the youth.

  • Self-driven, independent, and proactive, with a strong team-oriented work ethic. 

  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. 

  • People-oriented with strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills. 

  • Proficient in facilitating classroom discussions, mediating diverse opinions, and evaluating reasoning effectively. 

  • Relevant teaching experience, including curriculum development, assessment, and online course design and delivery. 

  • Experience with EdTech tools and generative Artificial Intelligence would be desirable. 

  • Hold a qualification in a related field.
