About the Role

As Strategic Pricing Planner you will be responsible for leading pricing strategy for defined projects to maximize sales and profit.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead strategic pricing development and implementation

  • Create and publish dashboards, performing deep dive analysis and providing insights into effectiveness of pricing strategies

  • Provide analysis on the drivers of pricing metrics and performance versus enterprise objectives

  • Track and measure incremental sales and margin associated with price changes

  • Ensure consistent price position in every market in line with the organization, pyramid and category strategies, reflecting an overarching price zone approach

  • Execute strategic pricing for all categories through the utilization of price modeling tools, competitive price checks, external market share data and market specific strategic pricing goals

  • Build pricing models that support category business plans and align with overall pricing strategies

  • Analyze modeling outcomes and provide insights and solutions to issues around sales, margin, elasticity and competitive sets

  • Assist in the refinement of modeling tool development and ensure business rules are working properly

  • Analyze the performance of current pricing strategies and make recommendations to optimize pricing rules

  • Monitor pricing practices to validate strategies and monitor price execution/ adherence

  • Ensure high level data integrity in the various pricing databases

  • Participate in the review of financial performance in all categories, including pricing scenarios, market share, sales and profit generations

  • Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You Have

Required

  • 3-5+ years experience in an analytical role

  • Proficiency in manipulating large data quantities

  • Analytical thinker who is able to develop insights from data

  • Knowledge of Pricing and Category Management

  • Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Office Suite

  • Prior Assistant Buyer experience

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Travel may be required
