Strategic Growth and Sales Associate II

US-REMOTE-DC Full time

Provides administrative, analytical, and coordination support to the Account Management and Sales teams to help drive strategic growth initiatives across designated markets and client portfolios. Supports account and sales activities by developing and maintaining tracking systems, conducting market and client research and analyzing market data to identify trends/opportunities, preparing internal reports and presentations, and ensuring smooth coordination across cross-functional teams. This role is primarily inward-facing and focused on enabling the success of senior account managers and sales professionals by supporting planning, outreach, and follow-up efforts.

Accountabilities:

  • Supports account managers and others in the organization who are managing accounts and serving as funder relationship managers by preparing briefing materials, presentations, and internal documentation related to key accounts, prospects, and pipelines.

  • In coordination with Account Management and Sales teams, identifies, researches, and tracks opportunities aligned with strategic priorities, and conducts desk research to support funder mapping, strategic client targeting, competitor analysis, and market trends.

  • Maintains and organizes partner and prospect data in CRM systems, including supporting with reviews of opportunity entries, status updates, and Bid Justification Memos, and supporting post-submission tracking, ensuring data quality, accuracy and accessibility for Account Management and Sales teams.

  • Provides support for planning and logistics of internal and external meetings, conferences, and events related to business development and account activities.

  • Develops and/or coordinates cross-functional inputs for pitches, proposals, account plans, and sales enablement tools.

  • Provides support to Strategic Growth and Sales regarding business planning and strategic plans to ensure alignment with 2025-2030 strategy.

  • Provides support to Strategic Growth and Sales to develop and refine BD-related processes.

  • Tracks action items, follow-ups, and timelines to support efficient execution of account strategies and business development plans.

  • Tracks and reports on the status of all business proposals and implements process improvement plans among cross–functional teams to achieve strategic goals.

  • Provides targeted capacity building assistance as required.

  • Serves, supports and maintains partnerships with internal and external business stakeholders.

Supervision Given/Received:

  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.

  • Supervises and provides guidance to lower level personnel. May act as team lead.

  • Typically reports to an Associate Director or Director.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or its international equivalent in business administration, public health, social sciences or related field.

Experience:

  • 5-8 years of experience with international and/or domestic business development; prior experience in proposal management is a plus.

  • Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients, colleagues, and partners in an international environment.

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.

  • Proficiency in French is an asset.

  • Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO).

Typical Physical Demands:

  • Typical office environment.

  • Ability to spend long hours looking at computer screen and doing repetitive work on a keyboard.

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to lift or move up to 5 lbs.

Technology to be Used:

  • Computer/Laptop, Microsoft applications (i.e., Office 365, SharePoint, Skype/Zoom/Teams), cell phone/mobile technology, and standard office equipment.

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 10%

The expected US Based hiring salary range for this role is listed below. FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget.  

 

Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 7% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account. Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours/week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year. Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule. 

 

US Based Hiring Salary Range: USD 90,000 - USD 110,000 

International hiring ranges will differ based on location
