How will you make an impact?

You will contribute significantly to driving innovation and excellence across our operations.  You'll lead strategic initiatives to develop new products, optimize design, ensure quality, and generate value while working with advanced technologies that help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. Working closely with cross-functional teams including research, quality, supply chain and manufacturing, you'll focus on mechanical components and assemblies while ensuring strict quality standards and risk mitigation. This position offers opportunities to influence product design, drive engineering improvements, and collaborate with teams on breakthrough solutions.

Location

This is a fully onsite role based at our Sunnyvale, CA office.  Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position. 

What will you do?

  • Lead development of new mechanical products and systems
  • Optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and risk mitigation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across R&D, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing
  • Drive engineering improvements and innovation

How will you get here?

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in product design, development, and manufacturing
  • Experience navigating the tradeoffs and requirements of complex systems including writing requirements and balancing costs versus time to market
  • Proficiency in value engineering, process development, and DFx methodologies

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse environments
  • Some international travel may be required

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with high-end molded plastics or chemical handling
  • Experience working with global suppliers and contract manufacturers
  • Leadership and mentoring experience
  • Experience with failure analysis and cost modeling
  • Project management experience
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (Creo or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of phase gate development processes

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. 
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen. 

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $129,400.00–$176,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
