About the Role:

Octave is seeking a Sr. Product Manager, Payers to join our distributed Product team, focused on driving success for key enterprise insurance payer relationships. This role will be central to strengthening the enterprise buyer experience, improving conversion growth, and scaling strategic partnerships that expand access to Octave’s mental health services. The ideal candidate brings deep experience working in client-facing or enterprise partnership environments and can translate those insights into a clear, actionable product roadmap. You’ll partner closely with Business Development, Engineering, Design, Operations, and Client Success to deliver products and experiences that enhance engagement, demonstrate measurable financial impact, and align to payer and organizational goals. Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Drive the end-to-end strategy and execution for payer vertical initiatives, ensuring product investments drive measurable business outcomes and improved enterprise client experience.
  • Partner closely with Business Development and payer stakeholders to understand partner needs, pain points, and opportunities, translating them into clear product requirements and priorities.
  • Collaborate across product squads to inform related roadmaps, ensuring alignment between payer-facing products and Octave’s broader platform strategy.
  • Define and maintain a prioritized roadmap that balances near-term delivery with long-term scalability and efficiency.
  • Lead discovery and validation efforts to evaluate new opportunities, ensuring initiatives are grounded in data, user insights, and business impact.
  • Develop and communicate business cases for product investments, articulating expected ROI and alignment with enterprise strategy.
  • Drive cross-functional execution with Engineering, Design, Operations, and Client Success to deliver on key milestones and ensure smooth partner implementations.
  • Analyze product performance and client feedback to identify optimization opportunities; run experiments and iterate based on data.
  • Represent the voice of the payer partner throughout the product lifecycle, advocating for an exceptional enterprise buyer experience.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration across teams to ensure clarity, accountability, and consistent progress toward goals.

Education & Experience 

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally in a B2B or enterprise SaaS environment
  • Proven success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with measurable business or financial outcomes
  • Strong client-facing experience, with the ability to translate business needs and feedback into product strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Experience collaborating across distributed teams and dynamic environments

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to frequently communicate with others through virtual meeting applications such as Zoom and Google Meet. 
  • Must be able to observe and communicate  information on company provided laptop. 
  • Move up to 10 pounds on occasion. 
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Compensation:

Starting pay for qualified applicants will depend on a combination of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below and this range may be modified in the future. 

The salary range for zone 1 (all states, excluding those in zone 2 or zone 3, and D.C.) is $132,100 - $153,100.

The salary range for zone 2 (CO, HI, MD, RI) is $145,300 - $168,400.

The salary range for zone 3 (AK, CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, WA) is $152,000 - $176,000.

All zones are eligible for equity in the form of stock options.

Additionally, this position is eligible for the following benefits: company sponsored life insurance, disability and AD&D plans. Voluntary benefits such as 401k retirement, medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, dependent care and commuter/parking options are also available. Octave offers generous Paid Time Off as well as paid parental leave benefits.
