Job Description
This position is essential to achieving the oncology business objectives, establishing marketing strategy, and developing and implementing effective marketing activities. Additionally, the role supports robust engagement with external stakeholders, including key opinion leaders and subject matter experts.
In this position you will report to the Business Unit Director for Oncology.
· Lead the planning, development and implementation of integrated marketing strategies and associated tactical plans for Oncology products
· Work with the cross-functional team to plan, deliver and track performance of activities in line with Gilead Oncology strategy
· Demonstrate excellence in project management and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities, including close working with agencies
· Develop and implement omnichannel marketing campaigns in the context of the Gilead Oncology portfolio
· Develop effective working relationships and engagement plans with opinion leaders and other key stakeholders to seek insights and strengthen Gilead’s position within the Oncology market
· Continually evaluate and champion innovative approaches
· Utilise market research data and analytics essential for guiding brand strategies and enhancing marketing tactics within Oncology. Evaluate sales and market data to support strategic planning and ensure effective account management.
· Manage operating budgets, monitor expenses, and drive operational excellence.
· Liaise with Global teams to ensure alignment of TR campaigns to Global plans
· Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and policies
Undergraduate degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, or a related field; BA or BSc preferred, ideally in sciences or business disciplines.
Knowledge and experience in the TR pharmaceutical market, with previous Oncology experience strongly preferred.
Proven track record in developing and executing brand strategies and comprehensive marketing campaigns, including omnichannel approaches.
Demonstrated excellence in project management, effectively managing multiple projects and priorities, as well as expense budget planning and tracking.
Experienced in building and maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, including opinion leaders and key market stakeholders.
Strong strategic thinker with the ability to formulate, develop, and execute business strategies while leveraging market research data and analytics.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, exhibiting a strong team ethic and leadership skills to motivate and coach team members.
Excellent analytical skills, with a systematic approach to identifying complex issues, interpreting data, and developing appropriate cross-functional solutions.
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and present clear, concise analysis of quantitative and qualitative concepts.
Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and their impact on marketing material development, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and policies.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments, recognize new business opportunities and challenges, and adjust plans accordingly.
Current knowledge of oncology trends and competitor practices, and ability to utilize product and therapeutic disease expertise
Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, focusing team efforts to maximize value and deliver operational excellence within competitive and ambiguous environments.
