PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $54,800.00-$66,800.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $45,032.00 - $79,100.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

As a Sr. Mortgage Advisor – Primary Market, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping people achieve one of life’s biggest milestones—homeownership. You’ll build meaningful relationships, earn trust, and guide members through every step of the mortgage journey with clarity and confidence. Your ability to connect, advise, and deliver tailored lending solutions will directly shape exceptional member experiences while driving strong, high-quality mortgage production.

You won’t just originate loans—you’ll create lasting partnerships, strengthen communities, and expand BECU’s impact by connecting members to the right financial solutions at the right time. Your expertise, initiative, and personal network will fuel growth while ensuring every interaction reflects BECU’s commitment to service, integrity, and care.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Guide Members with Confidence: You’ll meet with members and prospects to understand their goals, assess their financial picture, and recommend mortgage solutions that truly fit their needs.
  • Deliver an Exceptional Experience: You’ll create a seamless, transparent journey by staying in close communication, setting clear expectations, and following through every step of the way.
  • Be the Go-To Mortgage Expert: You’ll serve as the primary resource for mortgage products, processes, documentation, and loan status—from application through closing.
  • Build Powerful Partnerships: You’ll develop and nurture strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, financial advisors, and community influencers to grow your referral network.
  • Drive Your Own Success: You’ll proactively generate new opportunities through networking, prospecting, community involvement, and participation in industry events.
  • Own Your Pipeline: You’ll manage your loan pipeline with accuracy, urgency, and attention to quality, ensuring consistent and reliable production.
  • Leverage Technology for Smart Decisions: You’ll use automated underwriting systems (AUS) to assess loan scenarios, identify opportunities, and resolve potential issues.
  • Collaborate for Smooth Closings: You’ll partner closely with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to ensure loans move efficiently from application to funding.
  • Negotiate with Purpose: You’ll structure and negotiate loan terms that align with member needs, BECU guidelines, and regulatory standards.
  • Stay Compliant and Accountable: You’ll maintain full compliance with all federal, state, investor, and SAFE Act requirements, including MLO registration.
  • Protect and Strengthen Member Relationships: You’ll uphold BECU’s credit and risk standards while identifying opportunities to connect members with additional BECU products and services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of mortgage loan sales experience, which includes the ability to self‑generate in the range of $20 million or more in annual mortgage volume.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in relationship management, problem resolution, and high‑touch customer service.
  • Strong sales skills including prospecting, referral development, negotiation, and pipeline management.
  • Proficient verbal and written skills to effectively communicate.
  • Ability to perform complex income and financial analysis with a high degree of accuracy.
