Senior Material Handler (1st OR 2nd shift)           REQ # 18000088

Position Overview:

The Senior Material Handler is responsible for the accurate and safe handling of materials and inventory in the warehouse, manufacturing, and other applicable areas. Additional responsibilities include receiving, complex inventory transactions, and autonomously making decisions that impact inventory using critical reasoning skills to analyze issues until resolution. In addition, position could timely ship global parts and finished product by checking, packing, and labeling customer orders following the company’s processes and procedures. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual and powered material handling equipment

  • Receive and put-away of incoming material

  • Accurately and efficiently pick orders

  • Cycle counting and sorting inventory

  • Bag and then tag materials

  • Follow all departmental processes and procedures

  • Complete complex inventory transactions transfers, adjustments, put away, and bin refill with RF wireless or computer

  • Deliver kits and materials to correct locations

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness by adhering to safety and housekeeping policies

  • Assist with various projects as needed

  • Quality check customer orders

  • Pack, palletize, and crate customer orders

  • Process deliveries through Precision to complete shipments

  • Adhere to all processes and procedures related to picking, packing, crating

  • Provide after-hours support per set schedule

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 1 year previous inventory control or receiving experience

  • Position requires physical lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for long periods of time

  • Experience using an RF scanner

  • Use of manual and powered material handling equipment (pallet jacks and forklifts)

  • Must be able to obtain Entrust forklift certification within 60 days of starting.

  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle WMS knowledge

  • Precision shipping software experience

  • An understanding of shipping manifest and inventory management software

  • Aptitude for using hand tools, wrapping equipment, and banding tools

  • Experience shipping domestic and international orders using web based carriers (i.e. UPS and FedEx)

  • Knowledge of international paperwork, carriers, and transportation requirements

  • Experience in crating and packaging of product

Able to manage deliveries and make basic adjustment to process orders

Compensation Range:


The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $19.99-$29.31 per hour (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
