About the Role
As Senior Performance Manager, Responsible Sourcing, you will lead responsible sourcing performance management and business integration efforts across the Essentials & Beauty (E&B) categories, while supporting Food & Beverage (F&B). You will strengthen responsible sourcing oversight, accelerate sustainability goals and embed responsible practices into category growth strategies.
Core Responsibilities
· Deepen engagement with cross functional merchant, sourcing and supply chain teams across E&B and support F&B.
· Align responsible sourcing priorities with category growth strategies and operationalize Responsible Sourcing and sustainability goals.
· Define and implement oversight and elevation programs to improve supply chain performance, transparency and accountability.
· Review audit findings, translate results into actionable insights and elevate major non compliance issues as appropriate.
· Partner on onboarding new vendors and factories to ensure responsible sourcing integration from the start.
· Develop and apply country risk profiles to inform sourcing decisions and strategic business discussions.
· Collaborate with factories and internal teams to drive remediation, capability building and continuous improvement.
· Represent Target with industry groups, NGOs and implementation partners to advance responsible sourcing initiatives.
· Leverage data, analytics and reporting to guide business decisions and purchasing practices.
· Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of equity, inclusion and continuous learning.
About You:
· 5–10 years of experience in responsible sourcing, sustainability or supply chain oversight.
· Deep knowledge of global labor, health & safety, social compliance and environmental regulations.
· Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable direction.
· Experience analyzing performance data to drive business decisions.
· Demonstrated project management and change leadership skills.
· Proven ability to influence cross functional and global stakeholders.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to operate effectively in a global environment.
· Commitment to fostering an inclusive team culture.
Desired Qualifications:
· Responsible sourcing and/or policy experience in Essentials, Beauty or Food & Beverage sectors.
· Experience working with global business partners and sourcing offices.
· Master’s degree.
· Spanish language proficiency a plus.
